Artificial Intelligence has started to bear some ground in recent years with the release of Open AI’s Chat GPT Large Language Model as well as the companies Video AI Machine Sora with others such as Bing Chat with Chat GPT 4 and Elon Musk’s Grok AI which was recently released to the public via GitHub for use in personal projects and creative works. As well as this there have been several consignments and constraints placed on professionals within the creative and entertainment industry regarding how their image can be used in the future of filmmaking and other creative endeavors this was evident during the 2023 WGA Actors strike over Artificial Intelligence safeguards which ended in November of 2023. This paper the effects and effects of synthetic media on replicating human likeness explores two areas of interest that cover extensively the topic of Artificial Intelligence in the Creative and Entertainment industry. They are the impact of the rise of the ‘digital double’ within the entertainment industry, as well as the technical aspects of creating a ‘digital double’.
