The race was thrilling from start to finish with a brilliant off line from the Mclaren of Piastri to get in front of his team mate Norris and lead the race for a good while at the beginning. The bulls battled to maintain their spot in sixth and seventh respectively while trying to hold off other drivers on the grid; in the end finishing sixth and eighth for the Italian Grand Prix.

“It’s an incredible feeling,” said Leclerc after jumping out of the car. “Actually I thought that the first time would just feel like this, and then the second time (if there was a second time) wouldn’t feel as special, but my god the emotions in the last few laps, exactly the same like in 2019.“

It reamins to be seen at the time of writing if Oliver Berman will replace K Mag for the next race or if F1 will race with 19 drivers on the grid.
